Scott Wimmer on California Speedway--
"I am definitely looking forward to going to California. We've run decent there in the Busch car and I think we can run better this year in the cup car than we have in the past. I think we are really coming together as a team. We've been running real consistent and we keep getting better. I think that our speedway program is also getting stronger. We didn't run well in Atlanta, but we really have been getting improving every week. Texas was a major improvement from where we were in Atlanta. We'll try and qualify well and work on our car during the race and see if we can get a good finish this weekend.
"California is one of the nicest tracks we go to. It has a lot of racing room and it's really wide, a lot like Michigan. The track's a little older now, so the grooves have worked into the track pretty decent. Getting your car to handle through the corners fast is key there. The corners are big and sweeping, so you spend a lot of time in the corner, so it really is a place where you can get an edge over everyone. We've seen from races in the past where you can search around for a line to run. It's really neat because the top groove might be fast on one end and the bottom might be better on the other."
Frank Stoddard on California Speedway--
"I am optimistic about how we'll run this weekend. We're taking a car that Scott likes and we've run well with so far this year. We also have seen a lot of improvement in our performance since the year began. We've continuously gotten better with each race we run. It just takes some time to get a handle on what the driver needs, how he likes the car setup and what his lingo is. I think we're getting better at understanding what Scott wants in the car."

* Wimmer and the No. 22 Caterpillar team are taking car #78. It's the same car that the team competed with at North Carolina Speedway (started 31st and finished 15th) and Darlington Raceway (started 14th and finished 16th) this year. For now, it's considered Wimmer's favorite car.
