"It was a decent run and finished the race. We ran the whole race, and as a racer you want to win, you want to run second or third,, so all in all the pit crew did a very good job on pit road, and the spotter and I worked well together. That's something we can improve on."
ON FINISHING ON THE LEAD LAP.
"That was great, coming to this track, and we had some long green-flag runs. You know, I've only got a few green-flag pit stops under my belt, and certainly to have two today, that's more than I've had most my whole life. That was fun and interesting, and we learned something every time. We've got a decent package to go back to Vegas, but it's still going to be a learning program all year for myself, the spotter, Jimmy [Fennig] and I working together. When we get it figured out, we're going to be good."
WITH TWO SOLID FINISHES TO START THE SEASON, WOULD YOU RATHER THE VEGAS RACE BE NEXT WEEK INSTEAD OF THE BREAK?
"I think a week off is good for us, but it's not a week off for me, going to VIR on Monday, practicing the road-course race, then Bristol Tuesday and Wednesday, and Mexico City for the weekend. So, I think it's going to be good for the team. We don't need the break, we're prepared and ready to go with our Ford Fusions, but for myself it's not going to be a factor at all."
