Busch Now Has All The More Reason To Win
No. 97 IRWIN Industrial Tools Ford and Kurt Busch Performance Program to Benefit Rebuilding Together Charity
CONCORD, NC (April 27, 2004) - Beginning this weekend in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series race at California Speedway, Kurt Busch will have extra incentive to perform well each time he climbs behind the wheel of the No. 97 IRWIN Industrial Tools Ford.
"Our goal every time we compete is to take the IRWIN Ford Taurus to the winner's circle," said Busch. "This extra incentive, knowing that we can help Rebuilding Together and families in need, makes the victories and top five finishes all the more rewarding. I have visited many Rebuilding Together sites and it is unbelievable to witness the results. We are thrilled that we can help."
Co-primary sponsor IRWIN is introducing a performance-based program to benefit Rebuilding Together, the nation's largest nonprofit organization dedicated to revitalizing homes and communities of low-income families. If the IRWIN Industrial Tools Ford visits victory lane, the company will donate $20,000 of IRWIN products to Rebuilding Together. For every top five result, Rebuilding Together will receive a $10,000 IRWIN product donation.
"We are excited to launch this program at California, especially since it is where Kurt is the defending champion," said Neil Eibeler, President of Sales for the IRWIN/Rubbermaid Group, and a national board director of Rebuilding Together. "This endeavor will help us continue to generate awareness for the outstanding work that Rebuilding Together does in all of our communities across the country. This strengthens IRWIN's three-year commitment to Rebuilding Together."
IRWIN is a national sponsor of Rebuilding Together, providing financial assistance, tools and labor for projects throughout the country. IRWIN also works to promote Rebuilding Together's nationwide program by incorporating the Rebuilding Together logo into the blue and yellow paint scheme of the IRWIN Industrial Tools Ford.
The goal of Rebuilding Together is to make a sustainable impact in partnership with the community. Rebuilding Together assures that low-income homeowners, particularly those who are elderly and disabled, and families with children live in warmth, safety and independence.
Founded in 1988, Rebuilding Together, the nation's largest home rehabilitation organization, has 257 affiliates and serves 955 cities and towns throughout the U.S. This year, more than 8,000 low-income families will benefit from Rebuilding Together. For the remainder of the 2004 season, each time the No. 97 Roush Racing Team visits Victory Lane in the IRWIN Industrial Tools Ford, a $20,000 product donation will be given to Rebuilding Together. In addition, a $10,000 IRWIN product donation will be contributed for each top-five finish.
