CORNELIUS, N.C. -- Aaron's Dream Machine driver David Reutimann is ready to get back to the racetrack this weekend at Auto Club Speedway. Reutimann spent the majority of the week tending to media obligations.
WHAT DO YOU WORK ON TO GET YOUR AARON'S DREAM MACHINE TOYOTA GOOD FOR CALIFORNIA? "You fight a lot of the same things that you fight at a lot of the race tracks we go to. Get the car to rotate through the center of the corner, get through the corner and surprisingly enough, you work on forward traction a lot here at California Speedway. You would think at a two-mile race track, you wouldn't suffer from that forward traction, but it's like that forward traction, side-bite combination that we call it where you turn and you're back in the gas and the back of the car is just kind of not in the race track and you're losing some grip as well. There are a lot of things that you don't normally see on bigger race tracks that we run into a lot. Michigan as well, we fight a lot of the same stuff and both tracks are similar in the way they're laid out."
ON FINISHING THE SEASON ON A STRONG NOTE? "It has been a good season and we need to finish out the season on a strong point and get to the good of it. We've had some really good race cars and haven't had good finishes so we need to finish out as strong as we can to give our guys a little momentum during the off-season. As they're building cars and updating things and things like that, it makes the winter go by a lot better when you finish out strong."
David Reutimann will sign autographs from 7-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8 at Aaron's Sales & Lease Ownership store located at 920 N. Mountain Ave., Ontario, Calif. 91762
