Charlotte, N.C., Feb. 20 — Funeral services for NASCAR Winston Cup champion Dale Earnhardt have been announced. According to Speedvision.com, the family has decided to allow all his fans to share the moment.

Services will be at the Calvary Church in Charlotte. The chuch is not large enough to handle the many fans who want to attend the service. So the church will be closed to all but immediate family, employees of Dale Earnhardt Inc., Richard Childress Racing, NASCAR and other Winston Cup teams.

"Because it is impossible to accommodate the tremendous outpouring of support from those who followed Dale, we are unable to open the service to the public," the statement read. "With that in mind, the family has chosen to broadcast the service live on television, enabling fans across the country to share in this service for Dale."

The service is scheduled for noon on Thursday, February 22nd. Fox Sports Net is to carry it live.
