FROM THE NO. 54 NATIONAL GUARD COCKPIT: DRIVER TODD BODINE

"Dover is one of the toughest tracks we go to because it requires a complete package. It takes a good qualifying effort along with a great race set-up. The key to running fast is your corner speed. Your entry and exit has to be perfect every lap to have a chance to win. I've had the privilege of winning here in the Busch Series so I think I've got a good grasp of what it takes to do well. Corner speed is the key."

"The one thing you have to really watch and prevent doing is breaking the traction due to the rough surface. It can quickly get around on you. When you break traction you have to do all you can to prevent spinning out."

Do you think you have an advantage running both series at Dover?

"I think so. I like running the Busch Series because I have found I can transfer information from the Busch car over to the National Guard Ford. So the extra seat time is almost like a test."

"What's also great about Dover is it does not change from one race to the next because the concrete has stayed very consistent. It can get a couple of grooves wide, but the more we run through the weekend. The Busch race should certainly help us for Sunday."
