RaceSavers.com Sponsors Ambrose and No. 47 JTG-Daugherty Toyota at Dover
DOVER, Del. (May 28, 2009) -- During the Autism Speaks 400 weekend at Dover International Speedway Marcos Ambrose's No. 47 JTG-Daugherty Racing Toyota will have a new paint scheme and primary sponsor with RaceSavers.com.
RaceSavers.com is a website that offers race fans coupons and discounts on their favorite brands of consumer packaged goods and services. It also has a sweepstakes page where fans can enter to win behind the scenes access to races throughout the season.
"JTG-Daugherty Racing does a phenomenal job with sponsorship activation," Ambrose said. "This weekend is just another example of that as they are helping RaceSavers.com launch their website on Friday. We're pleased to have RaceSavers.com join our efforts this weekend at Dover."
Unlike most tracks on the circuit, Ambrose has a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start with Wood Brothers to his credit at the Monster Mile.
Ambrose also has four NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) starts and one NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2006 at the concrete mile. Of those events with JTG-Daugherty Racing, his best start is third and top finish is sixth behind the wheel of the No. 59 Kingsford® Charcoal NNS entry in 2007.
In Ambrose's last outing at a concrete oval this season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, he ran in the top five the majority of the race and finished 10th at Bristol Motor Speedway. That finish has Ambrose's crew chief, Frank Kerr, looking for solid results at Dover.
"Marcos ran so good at Bristol that we can't wait to get to Dover," Kerr said. "He's developed so much as a driver in such a short period of time. Dover's a tough place to get around, but he ran strong at Bristol and I think he'll be just as good on this concrete track."
"Frank and the JTG-Daugherty team are bringing the same car we ran at Bristol Motor Speedway," Ambrose said. "We had a strong finish there and we're hoping to perform just as well at Dover."
