Dover International Speedway

* Johnson has made 14 Cup Series starts at Dover International Speedway, posting three wins, five top-five and nine top-10 finishes.

* Johnson has completed 96.7% (5420 of 5604) of competition laps at the one-mile track and has led 637.

* Johnson has an average start and finish of 12.8 and 11.1.

Chassis

* Johnson drove primary chassis No. 465 from a 42nd-place starting spot to a second place finish at Darlington Raceway in May. He finished fourth at Dover in the same chassis last June.

* The backup chassis, No. 480, started and finished third at Bristol Motor Speedway in March.

JIMMIE JOHNSON:

So many of the fans right now are surprised that this year no one has really, really dominated. Could it be that a lot of the teams have understood the proper setup of THE new car and everyone is on the same driving page? "NASCAR's worked really hard to build parity within the sport. It's something they've worked on really since the start of the series. And 60 years ago or whatever it is now. So that is their goal. That's why the Car of Tomorrow was brought into play, and we are seeing that.

"So they're certainly accomplishing what they set out to do, and everybody at this level is very good at driving. And the teams and crew chiefs and everyone like that. So it's not a surprise to me to see so many different winners this year."
