DOVER, Del. -- The "Budweiser Celebrity Billiards Shootout," a $10,000 winner-takes-all charity tournament, returns to Dover Downs Hotel & Casino on Friday, May 29, 2009, during NASCAR race weekend at Dover International Speedway. The Friday night event at the Rollins Center is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. following the "AAA Insurance 200" NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at the Speedway.

Tickets are now available for $15 for general admission, or $30 for VIP seating, and can be obtained by calling 800-711-5882 or by visiting DoverDowns.com. A VIP ticket includes a voucher for food and beverages.

Several NASCAR drivers and celebrities, including Ryan Newman, driver of the No. 39 U.S. Army Chevrolet, SPEED personality Hermie Sadler, NASCAR on ESPN pit reporters Jamie Little and Shannon Spake, former NFL running back and 1982 Heisman Trophy winner Hershel Walker, "American Builder" host Brian Gurry, and a cast of others will participate in the nine-ball shootout sponsored by the NKS Beverage Group and Brunswick Billiards. Additional participants will be announced in the near future on DoverSpeedway.com.

"We're happy to announce the return of the Budweiser Celebrity Billiards Shootout to Dover Downs Hotel & Casino during race weekend in Dover," said George Fiorile, vice president and general manager of hotel operations for the Dover Downs Hotel & Casino. "The tournament was such a hit last September that it was a no-brainer to bring it back. Fans, participants and the media alike enjoyed the special event and it should be a lot of fun again this year."

Doors open at 6:15 p.m. and a trick shot demonstration by ESPN billiards commentator Ewa Mataya Laurance, known as the "The Striking Viking" of pocket billiards, will start at 7 p.m. The tournament begins at 7:15 p.m. Music, giveaways and much more will be part of the night. Food and beverages will be available for purchase during the event.

In the inaugural event held during the September 2008 race weekend, Richard Childress Racing driver Casey Mears topped drivers such as Carl Edwards, Kasey Kahne and Ryan Newman to win the $10,000 prize for his charity of choice, the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.

Great seats still remain for the May 29-31 NASCAR race weekend at Dover International. For more information, or to purchase race tickets, call 800-441-RACE or visit DoverSpeedway.com.
