Five Dodges -- Three "Chasers" -- Finish in Top 10

NOTE: Five Dodge drivers finished in the top 10 at Dover, including all three Dodge Charger "Chase for the NASCAR Nextel Cup" entries:

RYAN NEWMAN (No. 12 ALLTEL Dodge Charger) -- Finished 5th

"We just lost track position there for a while. When you're re-starting 20th or 26th, or whatever it was there, it just makes it really difficult to pass. Luckily (the caution) came out at the right time for us, when we were getting ready to pit. We gained a lot of track position, got ourselves in the top five and obviously, we held our own there at that point.

"I just like the racetrack. It's a lot of fun to drive. The team does a great job giving me fast racecars. Obviously, I couldn't go that fast if they didn't give me cars that drive that fast.

"We just got the right timing there at the end, as far as putting four tires on at the right time with everyone else coming in before the caution. It was a good run for us as far as finishing in the top five. I wish we could've been better. At times we had the fastest racecar, but we never really had the track position to show it.

"We proved we had the fastest racecar, but we didn't win the race. So, yeah, we can be disappointed. But, if we'd have qualified 25th and finished fifth, then it would be a little bit of a different story."

JEREMY MAYFIELD (No. 19 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger) -- Finished 7th

"It was just back and forth all day, you know? It was a good day for us, I guess. We wanted more than that. We were close, so close, to getting it being just right. We had a really good run, but we just kept missing it. We kept missing it a little bit. We were back and forth: tight, loose, loose, tight, loose, tight, and then tight at the end. But, overall the pit crew did a decent job. We've just got to get better and keep going.

"We're in position. We had a good top-10 run. It was a strong run all day. That's good. We needed that after last week. It's on to Talladega now. Here we go. It'll be wild at Talladega. We've got to go out there with a little more momentum than we got here, hopefully. It will be another survival race. We'll see what happens."

KYLE PETTY (No. 45 Georgia Pacific/Brawny Dodge Charger) -- Finished 8th

"To come here and run good... We run pretty decent last week. We had two cars in the top 20 last week. We've just got to start building some stuff to get better. But, I've got to say the Dodge Charger worked today. It was good for us.

"We took four (tires) with 25 or 30 laps to go and then we never pitted again. The No. 31 and No. 99 pitted again, and then they couldn't get back to us in traffic. And then, by the time you had a green/white/checkered then everybody's tires were equal.

"That car would fly up off the corner. It was good there. The engine was great. That's probably the best engine I've had all year long up off the corners. Ray's group at Evernham Motorsports has done a lot to help us, we just haven't been able to take advantage of it. Hopefully, we'll be able to take advantage of it the rest of this year. And then next year with Robbie (Loomis) coming, I know we'll be able to take advantage of it."

CASEY MEARS (No. 21 Target Dodge Charger) -- Finished 10th

"It's just crazy. It seems like every time this year that we've had a good run going, something goes wrong. And that time we just happened to pit and the caution came out. But, fortunately, we were able to get our lap back and I got a chance to kind of shoot it out with them there at the end. But, we had a top-three car out there today. Honestly, we had a really good car and then we came home 10th with it. Considering how good we were, it's not great. But, considering how bad our luck has been lately, it's really good. We left the car alone all day long. We just got caught in the pits."

STERLING MARLIN (No. 40 Coors Light Dodge Charger) -- Finished 41st

"We've had good cars all year, we just haven't gotten the track position. I'm just really proud of all the guys here at the racetrack and back at the shop. It's the best dang car I've had here in a long time. I had this car at Michigan and ran in the top 10, and at California and ran in the top 10 with it. But, I lost the motor. That's four this year. The other cars hadn't lost any, so I guess we're getting a bad draw somewhere. I guess I dropped a valve or something because it went down a cylinder."
