KASEY KAHNE (No. 9 Budweiser Dodge Charger) Qualified 6th
"A pretty good run for our Budweiser Dodge. It felt a little bit loose, but decent. We gained sixth-tenths from practice which is a nice jump for us. I feel pretty good about it. Our car is pretty fast in race trim."
SAM HORNISH, JR (No. 77 Mobil 1 Dodge Charger) Qualified 9th
"The Mobil 1 Dodge has been pretty good, not only today but we ran strong at this track earlier this year. They brought a different tire, so obviously it was a lot of work for us in the first practice to get the car comfortable again. I feel we would have been a little better in qualifying if we had the other tire, but outside of that, we're just a little free getting into the corner. We need to do a little bit of tuning tomorrow. I really enjoy running at this track. It's one of the fastest-feeling tracks that we run at anywhere. It's a lot of fun to race here. I'm looking forward to Sunday for sure."
KURT BUSCH (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger) Qualified 16th
"We made some changes between practice and qualifying and it just wasn't the way to go. We were a little too loose at the beginning of practice and got her snugged up and pretty decent. We'd run a 23 flat (23.007-second lap) and were looking to pick up some more speed with our qualifying run, but that just wasn't the case."
DAVID STREMME (No. 12 Penske Racing Dodge Charger) Qualified 17th
"Just a bit too loose. It will be average. It was better than what we were here in the spring. We keep bettering ourselves when we go back to a place. I'm pretty happy with the Penske Dodge."
AJ ALLMENDINGER (No 44 Super 8 Dodge Charger) Qualified 19th
"Not real good. We were just too loose."
ELLIOTT SADLER (No. 19 Geek Squad Dodge Charger) Qualified 34th
"I think we broke a crank. We'll get the guys to look at it, dissect it. I know it's a bad deal to break a crank during qualifying, but I would rather do it today than Sunday. We'll change motors and change some other things on it and go from there. The car was OK in practice. We need to work on it a little bit. We struggled last week in practice, but had a great run on Sunday. I love this car. It's a bad-to-the-bone race car. We thank the Geek Squad for being on the car this week. We'll try to make it better for Sunday."
