Kurt Bush (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger) Qualified 4th
"It was a really good run for the Miller Lite Dodge. I felt like we were a half of an adjustment from making it (a pole-winning run). I chose to go one way and we stuck with it. We were a little loose on the run. The pole was a 92 and we ran within a 10th of that. We didn't know what to expect with the new tire and it seems to fit into where we felt comfortable. There's less than two hours of practice tomorrow, so if you unload good, you're going to stay on that good side of the scale."
Elliott Sadler (No. 19 McDonald's Dodge Charger) Qualified 12th
"I wish we would have had more time to work on our qualifying run earlier in practice today. We only made two qualifying runs and didn't get to fine tune it like we wanted to for qualifying. The McDonald's Dodge is good in race trim. We've got some practice time to work on it tomorrow. It's just disappointing because qualifying is so important knowing how valuable pit selection is at Dover."
Patrick Carpentier (No. 10 Charter Dodge Charger) Qualified 17th
"I'm very happy. This morning it got a little loose in practice and so we didn't want to do that again. We did it earlier and the guys changed it and the car was really good and actually I got a little bit greedy on the second lap and got back to power way earlier than I should have had and I was trying to hold it wide open. The car got really loose on me on exit but it was still a good lap. The guys did a great job. That's what we need to make these races. We're happy. I mean, the Charter car is good and I'm learning a lot about the racing, that's the most important thing. I think I've learned a few things last weekend and this weekend, too, so hopefully we can roll it a little bit faster through the corners in the race and we'll stick with these guys."
Ryan Newman (No. 12 Alltel Dodge Charger) Qualified 19th
"It's disappointing. I use to come here expected to win the pole and now we're not even in the top-15. The Alltel Dodge felt good and drove good. Our speed is just off and I can't help much with that."
Sam Hornish Jr. (No. 77 Mobil 1 Dodge Charger) Qualified 25th
"That wasn't too bad. I felt that we were going to have a little bit more in the Mobil 1 Dodge than that. They told me that we only needed to run a 23.70 when I knew that I was in on the first lap I probably didn't push it quite as hard as I would have on the second if we had to. I'm pretty happy with the car. Got pretty luckily this morning that we didn't have to go to the backup car and I think we have a very good racecar. Hopefully we'll find some things out in practices tomorrow and be ready for the race."
Juan Pablo Montoya (No. 42 Big Red Slim Pack Dodge Charger) Qualified 35th
"We had a good car in practice today, not a great car. We were too loose in practice coming off the corners and we just couldn't get it tightened up for qualifying."
Kasey Kahne (No. 9 Budweiser Dodge Charger) Qualified 36th
"We were just way too loose with our Budweiser Dodge Charger. It felt pretty good in practice earlier, but we made some changes to the car that freed it up way too much for qualifying and the car just didn't react like we needed to get a decent run."
Reed Sorenson (No. 41 Target Dodge Charger) Qualified 38th
"We unloaded a lot better this time than we did the last time we were here. I was pretty close to wrecking out there (in qualifying), but we feel like we are a lot better off this time. If you have a good car, you can usually work your way to the front here. We'll see what we've got tomorrow when we practice more with the race setup."
Robby Gordon (No. 7 Menards Dodge Charger) Qualified 41st
"Not great, but not disastrous. When I hit the gas coming out of Turn 2, the car was just a little bit too free and I had to check up and that cost me a bunch of time. We've got our work cut out for us this weekend, but I think that we'll race just fine."
Bobby Labonte (No. 43 Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge Charger) Qualified 42nd
"It was a disappointing qualifying run for our Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge. We just missed when we unloaded this morning and it showed in qualifying. We've got a lot of work to do tomorrow to get ready for Sunday."
