"It feels great good to be out front to start the race. It's just an awesome feeling really. Everybody on this team deserves this. This Evernham Motorsports team has worked real hard. The 9 has got three poles so far, and the 19 didn't have any until yesterday. It's good for everybody."
"I feel real confident about the race. We tested here a couple of weeks ago and had a great test, probably one of the best ever. We've got a great racecar. Our Dodge has been running real good since we got here, and if we have a little luck Sunday we'll be up front at the end and have a shot to win. We did all race stuff at the test, and we came back and didn't do anything but qualifying stuff yesterday. The qualifying paid off for us, so now we know we can fall back on the notes and stuff we had from the test and have a good race."
"I think the early runs until the track gets a little rubber on it might be a little iffy, but Goodyear's got a great tire here and I know we've got a great racecar, so we shouldn't have any trouble. You never know with a green racetrack, but I'm sure it won't take long to get things rolling. Confidence is overwhelming right now. We're full of it. The whole team is pumped up and ready to go. It's amazing to see how much confidence this team has gained from a year ago until now. It's a great feeling. I'm honored to be a part of this Dodge/UAW team and be able to drive this car. I'm pumped up and ready to go."
"We tested here on a green track, and I think we've got a good setup. I feel like the test we had here contributed to our run at Charlotte last week. If we don't get any practice in, I think we'll still be all right. If we do, that'll make us that much better."
"I think the 12 will be good. Obviously he will because he won both races here last year. We were as good and maybe even a tick better the last race. We'll have to race the 12 again and probably the 48, the normal group. I'm sure the 9 will be up there before it's over with."
"You might see three wide. There will be times you wish you hadn't seen it. If I'm three wide, I'm going to back off before I get in the corner. I'm not going to take that chance, but this place gets a good high groove. It gets a high groove and a low groove, and sometimes you get a guy in the middle of it. I think it'll be a good race. I feel very confident, about as confident as I've ever felt."
