Dodge sweeps top three spots in qualifying at Dover
JEREMY MAYFIELD (No. 19 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Intrepid)
"Our qualifying efforts have been really good all year. We feel like we're gaining on it. The chemistry has really come together, but we've had some bad luck. Last week we did something to cut a right rear tire down. We got in the wall and it shows up with a 43rd place finish. Other than that we were running pretty good. A lot of good things are going to happen to this team, but we've just got to keep working together. Our Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge was really good. We were good off the truck and kept making it better. The concrete track is always good. I like Bristol and Dover. We've tested Nashville a couple of times. It's a great place to race and it's great for the fans. Rusty and Ryan have always run good here in the past, and I have, too. I think it's pretty neat we're all up three up there in the top three. The main thing is we're all on the same team now - Dodge. That's good for Dodge. It's going to be exciting. I think it's going to be a good race for us."
STERLING MARLIN (No. 40 Coors Light Dodge Intrepid)
"This has been a pretty good car for us, so we're really happy with the lap. We has some steering problems this morning, but the guys went to work and got things worked out. I think we're going to get it going. This is the best I've qualified at Dover in a long time."
BILL ELLIOTT (No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Intrepid)
"I'm kind of a negative factor for this Dodge crew right now. I can't do what I need to do. Other than the foot is still broken, I can't use it. I've just got to figure out what I need to do and what I can do in the race car and go from there."
