STERLING MARLIN (No. 40 Coors Light Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Marlin will drive chassis No. 001 at The Glen, the same car that finished 28th at Sears Point. Marlin finished second in the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway last Sunday and climbed from fifth to fourth in the NASCAR Winston Cup Standings (NWCS). He is the only driver who has remained in the top 10 in points all season. He now trails point leader Jeff Gordon by 323 points and third-place Ricky Rudd by 144. Marlin is one of five drivers with 11 or more top-10 finishes in 21 races this season. Marlin has scored only four top-10 finishes in his 14 races at Watkins Glen and finished 30th at The Glen last season. Marlin's runner-up finish at Indy matches John Andretti's second-place run earlier this season at Bristol as Dodge's best in 2001. Marlin, a 44-year-old driver from Columbia, Tenn., will make NASCAR Winston Cup career start No. 525 at Watkins Glen.
BILL ELLIOTT (No. 9 Dodge Dealers Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Elliott will drive the same chassis at Watkins Glen that carried him to a ninth-place finish earlier this season at Sears Point. Elliott finished eighth last week in the Brickyard 400, his fourth top-10 finish in the past six races. He's tied with Jeff Burton for 15th in the NWCS, 76 points behind 14th-place Matt Kenseth and 240 points behind 10th-place Johnny Benson. Elliott finished 13th last season at The Glen. He has three top fives and five top 10s in 14 starts at the 2.45-mile, 11-turn road course. Elliott, a 45-year-old driver from Dawsonville, Ga., will make career start No. 645 on Sunday.
WARD BURTON (No. 22 Caterpillar Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Burton will drive his Sears Point chassis at Watkins Glen. The 39-year-old driver from South Boston, Va., finished sixth at Sears Point and 22nd last year at Watkins Glen. He finished sixth last week in the Brickyard 400 and jumped two spots to 17th in the NWCS. Ward trails his brother, Jeff, and Elliott by 104 points. Burton has finished sixth or better in three of the last six races and has moved from 23rd to 17th in the standings.
DAVE BLANEY (No. 93 Amoco Ultimate Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Blaney will bring his Sears Point chassis to Watkins Glen. It finished 32nd at Sears Point. Blaney finished 35th last year in his first Winston Cup start at The Glen. He finished 40th last week at Indy and dropped two spots to 28th in the NWCS. Blaney, a 36-year-old native of Sharon, Pa., will make career start No. 61 on Sunday.
JOHN ANDRETTI (No. 43 Cheerios Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Andretti will drive his Sears Point chassis at Watkins Glen. He finished 30th at Sears Point and 14th last week in the Brickyard 400. Andretti finished 37th last year at Watkins Glen. He ranks 30th in the NWCS and the 38-year-old Bethlehem, Pa., native will make career start No. 248 on Sunday.
CASEY ATWOOD (No. 19 Dodge Dealers Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Atwood will drive his Sears Point chassis at Watkins Glen. Atwood finished 41st at Sears Point, completing only 41 laps because of engine problems. The Raybestos Rookie of the Year contender will be making his first Cup start at The Glen. He finished 41st last week at Indy after qualifying third. Atwood ranks 33rd in the NWCS and third in the Raybestos rookie standings. He'll make career start No. 21 on Sunday.
STACY COMPTON (No. 92 Kodiak Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Compton will bring his Sears Point chassis to Watkins Glen. Compton finished 24th at Sears Point. He finished 33rd last week in the Brickyard 400 and ranks 34th in the NWCS. The 34-year-old driver from Grit, Va., will make career start No. 53 on Sunday.
SCOTT PRUETT (No. 01 Cingular Wireless Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Pruett will drive the Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates Dodge usually driven by Raybestos Rookie of the Year contender Jason Leffler. Pruett, a 41-year-old expert road racer, is a native of Sacramento, Calif. He won the pole earlier this season in the Busch Series race at Watkins Glen in Kevin's Lapage's car. Pruett finished 10th in last year's Brickyard 400 as a rookie Winston Cup driver. He's won championships in SCCA Trans Am, IMSA GTO, IMSA GT Endurance and the Professional Karting Association. He's also a three-time winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 1991 IROC race at Daytona.
BUCKSHOT JONES (No. 44 Georgia Pacific Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Jones will drive his Sears Point chassis at Watkins Glen. He finished 35th at Sears Point. Jones finished 36th last week in the Brickyard 400 and ranks 39th in the NWCS. The 31-year-old driver from Tucker, Ga., will make career start No. 36 on Sunday.
KYLE PETTY (No. 45 Sprint Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Kyle Petty will compete in the same chassis at Watkins Glen that finished 22nd earlier this season at Sears Point. The 41-year-old driver from Randleman, N.C., finished 41st last year at Watkins Glen. He won at The Glen in 1992 and has four top 10s in 13 starts there. Petty ranks 42nd in the NWCS and will make career start No. 599 on Sunday.
