STERLING MARLIN (No. 40 Coors Light Dodge Intrepid R/T) Marlin will drive the same chassis that competed at Rockingham earlier this season and finished eighth. Marlin finished 34th in the Checker Auto Parts 500K presented by Pennzoil at Phoenix International Raceway. It was his second finish outside the top 15 in as many weeks. He dropped from fourth to fifth in the NASCAR Winston Cup point standings. He now trails fourth-place Dale Jarrett by just 35 points and point leader Jeff Gordon by 561. Marlin is the only driver who has remained in the top 10 in points all season. He is one of just four drivers to score 17 or more top-10 finishes in the first 32 races of the season. He has scored 12 top-10 finishes in 32 races at Rockingham, including two in the last four races at the North Carolina track. His best Rockingham finish, a second, occurred in the 1994 GM Teamwork 500. Marlin finished 33rd in this race one year ago. The 44-year-old driver from Columbia, Tenn., will make career start No. 536 on Sunday.

BILL ELLIOTT (No. 9 Dodge Dealers Dodge Intrepid R/T) Elliott will race a chassis that has not competed this season. Elliott finished 23rd at Rockingham in February and 27th last week at Phoenix. In 43 career starts at Rockingham, Elliott has three victories, 11 top fives and 20 top 10s. Elliott ranks 15th in the NASCAR Winston Cup Standings (NWCS) and the 45-year-old 1988 NASCAR Winston Cup champion from Dawsonville, Ga., will make career start No. 656 on Sunday.

WARD BURTON (No. 22 Caterpillar Dodge Intrepid R/T) Burton will race the Bill Davis Racing chassis that finished 41st at Kansas. An accident eliminated Burton after 67 of 267 laps in that event. Burton finished 13th last week at Phoenix and 16th in February at Rockingham. He ranks 16th in the NWCS, and the 39-year-old driver from South Boston, Va., will make career start No. 247 on Sunday.

DAVE BLANEY (No. 93 Amoco Ultimate Dodge Intrepid R/T) Blaney will race a chassis that's competed this season at both Michigan races, Kansas and the first Rockingham event. Blaney finished ninth in February at Rockingham. Blaney finished 28th last week at Phoenix and ranks 24th in the NWCS. The 36-year-old driver from Hartford, Ohio, will make career start No. 72 on Sunday.

JOHN ANDRETTI (No. 43 Cheerios Dodge Intrepid R/T) Andretti started 31st and finished 26th at Lowe's Motor Speedway in October with the chassis he'll race at Rockingham. Andretti finished 21st earlier this season at Rockingham. He finished 39th last week at Phoenix after being involved in an accident on lap 270 of 312. Andretti ranks 30th in the NWCS, and the 38-year-old driver from Indianapolis, Ind., will make career start No. 259 on Sunday.

CASEY ATWOOD (No. 19 Dodge Dealers Dodge Intrepid R/T) Atwood will drive an Evernham Motorsports Dodge Intrepid R/T chassis that competed earlier this season at Darlington, Dover and Charlotte. Fresh off his first Cup pole of the season last week at Phoenix, will try to improve on his 18th place finish in February at Rockingham. Atwood finished 14th at Phoenix, and the 21-year-old Raybestos Rookie of the Year contender from Nashville, Tenn., ranks third in the rookie standings and 29th in the NWCS.

STACY COMPTON (No. 92 Kodiak Dodge Intrepid R/T) Compton's Rockingham chassis raced earlier this season at Darlington and Martinsville. Compton finished 21st last week at Phoenix and 41st earlier this season at Rockingham. Compton ranks 34th in the NWCS, and the 34-year-old driver from Grit, Va., will make career start No. 63 on Sunday.

JASON LEFFLER (No. 01 Cingular Wireless Dodge Intrepid R/T) Leffler's Rockingham chassis last competed at Dover. Leffler finished 41st last week at Phoenix, exiting on lap 252 of 312 with overheating problems. He finished 33rd earlier this season at Rockingham. The 26-year-old Raybestos Rookie of the Year contender from Long Beach, Calif., ranks fifth in the rookie standings and 37th in the NWCS.

BUCKSHOT JONES (No. 44 Georgia Pacific Dodge Intrepid R/T) Jones will drive the same chassis that competed at Dover in September. Jones finished 16th last week at Phoenix and 35th earlier this season at Rockingham. He ranks 40th in the NWCS, and the 31-year-old driver from Tucker, Ga., will make his 44th career Cup start on Sunday.

KYLE PETTY (No. 45 Sprint Dodge Intrepid R/T) Petty will drive the Petty Enterprises chassis that qualified 21st and finished 43rd at Dover. In 40 career starts at Rockingham, Petty has three victories, four top fives, and 12 top 10s. He finished 43rd last week at Phoenix and ranks 43rd in the NWCS. The 41-year-old driver from Randleman, N.C., will make career start No. 606 on Sunday.
