STERLING MARLIN (No. 40 Coors Light Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Marlin will drive Chip Ganassi Racing chassis No. 103 at Darlington. Marlin last drove the Intrepid in The Winston weekend at Lowe's Motor Speedway in May. Marlin finished fifth earlier this season at Darlington. He finished ninth last week at Bristol, his third top-10 finish in the last four races. The 44-year-old driver from Columbia, Tenn., remains fourth in the NASCAR Winston Cup Standings (NWCS), 418 points behind leader Jeff Gordon and 39 points behind third-place Dale Jarrett. In 34 career starts at Darlington, Marlin has one win, eight top fives and 14 top 10 finishes. He will make career start No. 528 on Sunday.

BILL ELLIOTT (No. 9 Dodge Dealers Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Elliott will drive the same chassis that finished fourth earlier this season at Pocono. The 45-year-old 1988 NASCAR Winston Cup champion from Dawsonville, Ga., has 46 career starts at Darlington, with five wins, 19 top fives and 30 top 10s. Elliott's last victory came in the 1994 Southern 500. Elliott has a 9.2 average finish at Darlington -- tops among all active drivers. He also leads all active drivers with five poles, and he's led 937 laps at the 1.366-mile egg-shaped oval. Elliott finished 19th last week at Bristol and moved up to 15th in the NWCS. He'll make career start No. 648 on Sunday.

WARD BURTON (No. 22 Caterpillar Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Burton, one of five drivers competing in the No Bull Five program at Darlington, will drive the same chassis that finished sixth earlier this season in the Brickyard 400. Burton finished 12th in March at Darlington and has finished 12th or better in his last seven starts at Darlington. He won the 2000 spring race at Darlington and the 1996 spring pole. The 39-year-old driver from South Boston, Va., finished 12th last week at Bristol and remained 18th in the NWCS. Burton will make career start No. 239 on Sunday.

DAVE BLANEY (No. 93 Amoco Ultimate Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Blaney will race the same chassis that he raced earlier this season at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. An accident on lap 100 in the Brickyard 400 relegated Blaney to a 40th-place finish in that race. Blaney finished 22nd in March at Darlington and 18th last week at Bristol. He moved up to 23rd in the NWCS. The 36-year-old driver from Hartford, Ohio, will make his 64th career Cup start on Sunday.

JOHN ANDRETTI (No. 43 Cheerios Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Andretti will race the same chassis that carried him to a 14th-place finish at Indy and 26th at Michigan. Andretti finished sixth at Darlington in March and 21st last week at Bristol. He's 29th in the NWCS. The 38-year-old driver from Indianapolis will make career start No. 251 on Sunday.

CASEY ATWOOD (No. 19 Dodge Dealers Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Atwood will race a brand new chassis in the Mountain Dew Southern 500. The 21-year-old Raybestos Rookie of the Year contender from Nashville, Tenn., finished 26th at Darlington in the spring and 17th last week at Bristol. Atwood ranks 31st in the NWCS and third in the six-driver rookie race.

STACY COMPTON (No. 92 Kodiak Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Compton will race the same chassis he ran in The Winston Open at Lowe's Motor Speedway in May. An accident put Compton out at Darlington after only 113 laps in the spring, and he finished 43rd. The Melling Racing Team did not qualify last week at Bristol. Compton ranks 33rd in the NWCS and will make career start No. 55 on Sunday.

JASON LEFFLER (No. 01 Cingular Wireless Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Leffler will drive the Chip Ganassi Racing chassis that he drove earlier this season at Texas and California with finishes of 17th and 18th, respectively. Leffler finished 39th in March at Darlington and 30th last week at Bristol. The 25-year-old Raybestos Rookie of the Year contender ranks 37th in the NWCS and fourth in the rookie race.

BUCKSHOT JONES (No. 44 Georgia Pacific Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Jones will drive the same chassis that he drove to a 36th-place finish in the Brickyard 400. Jones finished 41st in March at Darlington and 43rd last week at Bristol. He ranks 40th in the NWCS, and the 31-year-old driver from Tucker, Ga., will make his 37th career Cup start on Sunday.

KYLE PETTY (No. 45 Sprint Dodge Intrepid R/T)
Petty will drive the same chassis that he drove to a 26th-place finish at New Hampshire. Petty finished 35th earlier this season at Darlington. In 39 career starts at Darlington, Petty has five top five finishes. He didn't qualify last week at Bristol and ranks 42nd in the NWCS. The 41-year-old driver from Randleman, N.C., will make career start No. 601 on Sunday.
