Well the deals continue. With the Sabates purchase of the Phil Barkdoll team he had this to say.

``Phil has been a friend of mine for a long time and he has always said `if you're ever in a jam, anything I have is yours,' '' Sabates said. ``Well, Joe didn't qualify for the Daytona 500 and I was in a jam.''

Later Butch Mock purchased the position of Loy Allen.

Mock went to Loy Allen Jr., who made the field on his qualifying speed but would have had to use a backup car because he was involved in a crash started by Ricky Craven's spin in the second race.

Allen agreed to sell his spot in the field to Mock. Mock will paint the car in the colors of his team's sponsor, Remington Arms, but it will remain No. 19 and Allen, not Mast, will drive it Sunday. ____________________________________ NASCAR Fans Website and E-mail List http://www.cs.mtsu.edu/~csvlh
