MOORESVILLE, NC--FitzBradshaw Racing will field the No. 83 Super Hot Hot Tamales Chevrolet Monte Carlo in the Pepsi 400 on July 5, 2003 at Daytona International Speedway. The car will be driven by Kerry Earnhardt.

The car will boast a special black and red paint scheme featuring the hotter version of regular No. 12 Chevrolet sponsor, Hot Tamales.

"I'm excited about Daytona and the Super Hot Hot Tamales car," Earnhardt said. "We're just going to go down to Daytona and do what we need to do to make the race."

"This will be a great weekend for the team," FitzBradshaw co-owner Armando Fitz said. "We're going to have Kerry and Casey (Atwood) in Busch Series cars, plus Kerry in the Super Hot Hot Tamales Chevrolet for the Winston Cup race. This team continues to take strides in reaching its ultimate goal of being a successful, multi-car team in NASCAR.

Earnhardt is currently 19th in NASCAR Busch Series driver point standings.

FitzBradshaw Racing is owned by NASCAR veteran Armando Fitz and Pro Football Hall of Fame member and FOX broadcaster Terry Bradshaw. The team fields three cars in the NASCAR Busch Series: the No. 12 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, sponsored by Supercuts and Hot Tamales; the No. 14 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, sponsored by the Navy; and the No. 82 Chevrolet Monte Carlo sponsored by Jani-King. The team also fields the No. 83 Chevrolet Monte Carlo for select NASCAR Winston Cup Series races.

PRE-RACE QUOTES by Kerry Earnhardt

Regarding the Winn-Dixie 250 NASCAR Busch Series Race:

"We're hoping to have a great run this weekend. We had a Top-15 finish here in February in a backup car, so I'm hopeful we'll be able to get the car dialed in and run up front."

Regarding the Pepsi 400 NASCAR Winston Cup Series Race:

"I'm just ready to get out there and qualify. I think this team is capable of putting the Super Hot Hot Tamales Chevrolet on the race track and getting it ready to race. I'm anxious to get going."
