Crew Chief: Donnie Wingo
McMurray on racing at Daytona International Speedway:
"Winning at Daytona during the July race in 2007 is my favorite Daytona memory because I didn't know that I had won until about 30 seconds after the race was over when I heard it on the radio. I thought that winning at Charlotte would be the one thing I'd never forget since it was my first Cup win, but the win at Daytona was probably the most exciting. The Daytona 500 has always been a tough race for me if you look at my statistics. It makes your season so much easier if you can start off with those first few races with solid finishes, so I'm hoping that the statistics do not continue this year, and that eventually I'd run well in the 500. We had such a great race for the Budweiser Shootout last weekend that I'm really looking ahead to the 500 with a lot of anticipation for our Crown Royal Ford Fusion."J
Crew chief Donnie Wingo on racing at Daytona International Speedway:
"After Saturday's Budweiser Shootout, our entire team is ready for the Daytona 500 this weekend. We feel that we have brought some extremely fast and powerful cars and Jamie has liked how this car handles so far in our practice sessions. For Daytona, we always want cars that handle well when they are running wide open as well as back in the pack. We had a great clean run in the Shootout and we'll take what we saw on the track, apply it to our car for the 500, and I think that we will see our No. 26 Crown Royal Ford finish strong Sunday."
