(HOW WAS PRACTICE TODAY?)
"It went really well. Being fifth fastest, that doesn't mean much here at a speedway race. You just get a good suck on lap and post it. But overall our Kellogg Chevrolet has been running well all week long. The guys have been making minor tweaks to it and everything makes it better."
(WAS IT BETTER TODAY IN TRAFFIC?)
"Oh yeah, definitely. The temperature is probably 10 to 15 degrees cooler, but yesterday the cars drove like sports cars out there all over the place. Today they drove like Cadillacs. We've got a little bit more work to do to get a little bit better but we're about done with it. We're just going to make 10 laps tomorrow and call it done."
MARTIN TRUEX, JR., NO. 1 BASS PRO SHOPS CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO:
(HOW WAS PRACTICE?)
"Cup practice was awesome. My car was really, really fast. It does everything it needs to do. It sucks up really well and handles really good. So, I'm excited. That wasn't even my 500 motor, and that one is supposed to be even better.
I'm pretty excited about that. The biggest thing about my car is that it handles well. That's what I was most happy about."
(WAS IT BETTER THAN YESTERDAY'S CAR?)
"Believe it or not it was really good yesterday and about the same today. With the weather conditions shifting it's pretty hard to get, so I was pretty happy with that."
DALE EARNHARDT, JR., NO. 8 BUDWEISER CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO:
"We've had a better car every day. We did get a lot of stuff from the motor department such as intakes and that. For tomorrow, we're going to try to get that new motor worked in, make sure we're happy with it and get going for Sunday."
