GREG ZIPADELLI, CREW CHIEF, NO. 20 HOME DEPOT PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:

COMMENTS AT INFIELD CARE CENTER, REGARDING TONY STEWART, FOLLOWING STEWART'S CRASH ON LAP 227: "He's getting some x-rays [taken] to make sure everything is OK. I talked to him. He's hurting pretty good, but he is fully conscious. We'll just keep our fingers crossed and pray for him. "They said he was out for a few minutes, but he's alert. He didn't really know what happened. They'll get a good look at him."

STACY COMPTON, NO. 14 CONSECO PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:

WHAT HAPPENED DURING THE INCIDENT WITH STEVE PARK AND RICKY CRAVEN ON LAP 39? "I don't know. We were struggling a little bit. I motioned Steve to the bottom of the track and went high. I feel certain that he probably just got down, touched the apron and got loose. When he went down there, I was way up the track and I don't know whether he got loose and tried to catch it or what. But, I felt like I gave him plenty of room.

"I hate it. I hate it for the leaders and I hate it for Steve. Him and I are big buddies and this was his comeback. But, I feel certain that his car must have got loose or something when he got down there because when we went in the corner, we both had plenty of room. I hate it for Craven and all those guys that got caught up in it. It's just a bad deal.

"I've always given the leaders plenty of room and hopefully they've always done the same for me. I hate it for everybody involved, but it certainly wasn't anybody's fault, I don't feel like."

"On another note, I hope Tony [Stewart] is OK. That's a bad sight when you see that, but I hope everybody that was in that backstretch incident is OK."

KEN SCHRADER, NO. 36 M&M'S PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:

WHAT DID YOU SEE IN THE LAP 227 INCIDENT? "A lot of smoke. I just saw a replay and I just know the '44' (Buckshot Jones) and the '20' (Stewart) - it looked like something happened up there. But, I couldn't figure that out because the last time I got hit, the last hit was from the '20,' so we must have went by them at some point in the deal. But, I couldn't tell how it started."

JOHNNY BENSON, NO. 10 VALVOLINE PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:

WHAT DID YOU SEE IN THE LAP 227 INCIDENT? "I couldn't see a thing. I wish they would have said, 'Stop.' I couldn't see a thing. I slowed down as much as I could, but once I got to the oil I couldn't do anything about it."

BOBBY LABONTE, NO. 18 INTERSTATE BATTERIES PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:

WHAT DID YOU SEE IN THE LAP 227 INCIDENT? "I probably didn't see as much as I should have because I was just passing the '36' car (Ken Schrader) and kind of glanced in the mirror to see if I had cleared him. If I hadn't bee trying to do that I probably would have seen more, but I just happened to look back in the mirror and when I looked up it was too late. I went to the outside of the '41' (Jimmy Spencer) and the '20' was going down and I clipped in the front with my left front. I looked in the mirror and there were a lot of people wrecking behind me, so I guess if I had been slower, maybe I would have been in it, too."
