TONY STEWART, NO. 20 HOME DEPOT PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:

"Sterling Marling knocked our fender in on the first lap for no reason, other than that he just thinks he owns the racetrack out there. Other than that, we just fought the race car all day. We got real tight that (first) run, so we made an adjustment. Like I said, thanks to Sterling, the adjustment we made made us too loose because a lot of it was the aero, so we've got to thank him for getting us way behind all day.

"We just kept fighting our way up through there. The guys kept working hard and that's all you can ask. Everybody on the team - spotter, crew chief, pit crew, myself - we all just ran as hard as we could all day. We chased the thing back and forth. It was tight. It was loose. It was tight. It was just a typical Darlington for us."

BOBBY LABONTE, NO. 18 INTERSTATE BATTERIES PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:

WHAT HAPPENED ON THE LAST RUN? "It just got too loose. We were loose all day on a long run and we just got too loose."

DID YOU FEEL LIKE YOU HAD A FOURTH-PLACE CAR UP TO THE START OF THAT LAST RUN? "If I'd have had a yellow about every 10 laps I'd have had a fourth-place car. But other than that, I didn't. It was just too loose all day. Long runs were not what I needed today, for whatever reason. We're usually not like that and today we were. We wish we could have had some more caution flags, but we didn't."
