Clint Bowyer clobbers Denny Hamlin

No. 15 Toyota triggers late-race caution.

DOVER, Del.. — With just 14 laps remaining in the Fed Ex 400, the race sponsor's car — driven by Denny Hamlin — went for a wild ride after Clint Bowyer punted him on the backstretch at Dover International Speedway.

As Hamlin turned sideways, he collected Kurt Busch in the process. Hamlin, who started from the pole, and Busch had restarted fifth and eighth, respectively, on Lap 381 with just 11 cars remaining on the lead lap.

Although both cars returned to the track, Busch had to pit with six laps to go after his right front tire went flat. He made multiple visits to pit road to repair the No. 41 Haas Automation Chevy before finishing 29th. Hamlin, who led 118 laps, finished 18th.

Jimmie Johnson won his 10th race at Dover, his 74th career Sprint Cup victory.
