"Chicago is still considered a new track, but it is definitely starting to develop its own personality and character as the surface sees more and more activity."

"We've run well there in the first two events at Chicago and really look to do the same this weekend. It's a track that is well-suited for Robert Yates Racing and this team. We've put a lot of work into getting this team turned around and I look forward to getting a good run this weekend."

Chicagoland is next stop for UPS Team

Jarrett Starts Second Half of 2003 With a Top 10 at Daytona . . . Dale Jarrett and the #88 UPS Team have devised a plan that allows them to move forward from Daytona. After scoring a top-10 finish in the Pepsi 400, the team hopes to build from Daytona for the rest of the 2003 NASCAR Winston Cup Series season.

"We found a lot of things aerodynamically and in our chassis that seem to make us feel that we are starting to right this ship," Jarrett said. "We've done a lot of work over the last few weeks. Putting Sean Parker and Jason Burdette in place as the Crew Chief and Car Chief, I think, has been very good for us. I look for the second half, or these last 19 races, to be much improved over what we did in the first part. We know that we're a team capable of running up front, week in and week out, and that's what we have to get back to is that consistency, and hopefully we're heading in that direction."

Crew Chief Shawn Parker is a New Dad . . . Shawn Parker, crew chief of the #88 UPS Racing team, and his wife Tara, welcomed a new member to their family on Sunday, July 6th as Jagger Alexander Parker was born at 7:05 a.m. weighing in at 6 pounds and 12 ounces and 20 inches long. Jagger is the first child for Shawn and Tara.

Team UPS Embarks on Aggressive Test Schedule . . . The #88 UPS Racing team begins an aggressive month of testing starting at The Milwaukee Mile in Wisconsin this Tuesday. The team will spend two days at the flat, one-mile track before leaving for Chicagoland Speedway for Sunday's 400-mile event. The team will travel from Chicago to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for another two-day test session. Two more tests will take place in the last two weeks of July with the first at the road course of Virginia International Raceway, and then at Watkins Glen before the Brickyard 400.

UPS to Debut Newest Race the Truck Ad . . . All season, UPS has been pleading its case to Dale Jarrett to race the big, brown truck. The newest installment of the "Race the Truck" campaign debuts this weekend during NBC's broadcast of the Tropicana 400.
