CLINT BOWYER, NO. 07 JACK DANIEL'S IMPALA SS, met with members of the media at Chicagoland Speedway and discussed night racing at Chicagoland, extending his relationship with both Richard Childress Racing and Jack Daniel's, thoughts on Tony Stewart team ownership announcement.

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE FIRST NIGHT RACE HERE AT CHICAGOLAND? "I am really looking forward to it. We typically haven't been running good on these type of race tracks so I am looking forward to challenge. This has always been a special track for me, I know if I run good here, I can go to the sister track in Kansas, which is my home track, and run well. It is important for me to run well here."

HOW NERVOUS ARE YOU ABOUT HOW CLOSE THE POINT STANDINGS ARE FROM SEVENTH OR EIGHTH TO 13TH OR 14TH? "It is nerve wracking. I mean it is crunch time, do or die time. Now it is all about making your way in to that Chase. Right now we are in it, but it is up to us to stay in it."

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON TONY STEWART'S ANNOUNCEMENT OF TEAM OWNERSHIP? "Obviously, he is a big part of the sport. A big move for him, good luck to him. I hope it works out. He has always been in good equipment at Gibbs, wherever he goes, he is a good driver, a two-time champion for a reason and he will be a good asset to our Chevy program."

WITH NEVER RACING AT NIGHT HERE AT CHICAGOLAND, WILL THE NATIONWIDE RACE PLAY A MORE SIGNIFICANT ROLE IN LEARNING SOMETHING FOR SATURDAY NIGHT THAN NORMAL? "I am looking forward to it, I think it is going to be neat. Night racing always adds an extra element to the race, there is an energy in the air. Both cars hopefully will be good. We have been testing and practicing a lot to better ourselves on these type of race tracks. The swing of practicing through daylight and racing at night is something we will all be focused on and concentrating on."

DO YOU LIKE NIGHT RACING? "I do. That is what we grew up racing, at night. I think it is a little more normal. Believe it or not, under the lights that they have, the Musco lighting is so good, it is almost a clear look out the windshield than during the day. It is just fun."

THERE HAVE BEEN UNSUBSTANTIATED REPORTS THAT YOUR SPONSOR WAS LEAVING, NOW THAT HAS BEEN REFUTED AND EVERYTHING IS IN PLACE DOES THAT EASE YOUR MIND? "Absolutely! I am happy to be where I am at. I love my sponsor, I love my team and I love being a part of RCR so, I am glad to get all the stressful times behind and not have to worry about it for quite some time."
