Will Kenseth repeat at Lowe's???
Matt Kenseth's thoughts on racing at Lowe's Motor Speedway:
"I love racing at Lowe's Motor Speedway. Returning to the site of your first win is always special, and going back to a track we run really well at always helps. We were pretty good last weekend in The Winston, so hopefully everything will last through the 600 miles and we will put that car in Victory Lane.
"The 600 is an awesome race. It begins in the day and ends at night, so you have to adjust your car for the changing temperatures, and track conditions. Its definitely a race that keeps everyone on their toes."
Crew Chief Robbie Reiser's thoughts on Lowe's Motor Speedway:
"We made a decision this week to take car 19 back to the 600 for this weekend. It's the same car we ran at The Winston and we were pleased with the performance. It should be a good showing for the DEWALT team if everything goes our way."
Spotter Mike Calinoff's thoughts on Lowe's Motor Speedway:
"The view at Charlotte is as good as it gets. The '600' is obviously a favorite of mine since we won our first race there. I am confident that we can keep our momentum rolling and fare well this weekend."
NOTES OF INTEREST:
Matt Kenseth and his DEWALT crew secured their first pole position for The Winston last weekend. Kenseth credited his team for their 13 second pit stop.
Second in the points
Kenseth is second in the point standings, 132 behind leader Sterling Marlin.
DEWALT ran a promotion to reward their customers' sales forces for the sale of key DEWALT products. The more product they sold, the better their chances were of winning a trip to the Coca-Cola Racing Family 600 and a chance to win a Roush Stage 3 Mustang to be given away the night before the 600. The Operation Overdrive decal will run on the hood of the No. 17 car this weekend.
The No. 17 DEWALT Power Tools Ford will once again sport the flames paint scheme for the Coca-Cola Racing Family 600. Kenseth will race the same car that he finished third with in The Winston.
Matt Kenseth Appearances
Kenseth will sign autographs on May 24th from 7-8pm at Lowe's of Concord (940 Concord Parkway North Concord, NC - 704-720-9000) and at the DEWALT Rolling Thunder Trackside display at 1:30pm the day of the Coca Cola Racing Family 600.
DEWALT Million Dollar Challenge
Be the fastest to drive five screws into a piece of wood and you could have a chance to win a million dollars during a nationwide contest from DEWALT Power Tools. DEWALT, the familiar yellow-and-black power tool company, is launching the Million Dollar Challenge, a promotion that runs from April to November to see who's quickest with a cordless drill.
DEWALT will hold qualifying events in more than 50 cities nationwide, stopping at various power tool distributors, construction sites, NASCAR races, and other special venues to see who can drive screws the fastest. Those with the fastest times from each city will advance to one of 16 regional contests, which will be held at select Chevrolet Truck dealerships throughout the country. From there, the top 16 winners will each receive a new 2003 Chevy Express utility van filled with DEWALT tools. They also earn an expense paid trip to the Million Dollar Challenge finals to be held November 8-10 in Phoenix, AZ during NASCAR's race weekend.
During the final round, the 16 contestants will compete to see who will become America's fastest screw driver. The champion will win a chance to beat the clock for a million dollar prize in front of 110,000 fans at the Winston Cup race.
