KENNY WALLACE ON RUNNING AT LOWE'S MOTOR SPEEDWAY--
"I love Lowe's Motor Speedway because it has one of the neatest atmospheres on the circuit," said Kenny Wallace, driver of the #23 Stacker 2 Dodge. "This will be the first time we've run a 500-mile race at night at Charlotte in the fall and I think it will make the race even more exciting. You need a well-balanced car to be successful at Lowe's. Some of the newer tracks have tried to build theirs like Charlotte, but no one's come close. At Charlotte the top of the track is as good as the bottom and you can't find that many places nowadays. The track is so unique because of the bumps there, so you have to get the shocks right to go through the bumps fast."
WHAT STACKER 2 CAR WILL THE TEAM RUN THIS WEEKEND--
The #23 Stacker 2 car Kenny Wallace will run this weekend is car #75. It's the same car that Wallace ran in the last race at Lowe's Motor Speedway. Wallace had a very strong run going in the Coca Cola 600 until an engine failure ended their run. Car #75 also competed in the Brickyard 400 in Indianapolis, IN.
WALLACE ON THE SPRING RACE AT LOWE'S MOTOR SPEEDWAY--
"Our Stacker 2 team ran really strong at Charlotte in the spring race," said Wallace. "We were running in the 15th position and moving up quickly, when we had a problem with the heat exchanger and ended up falling out of the race. We're taking the same Stacker 2 car back for this weekend's race and I feel really confident with this car. We should be able to have a solid run this weekend."
Kenny will visit Concord High School Oct. 9th as part of "YJ Stinger's Race to Bee Safe" program. The Race to Bee Safe program is designed to teach teenagers the importance of safe driving and good car maintenance. The tour will visit high schools in six markets that host Winston Cup races this fall. Students will sign a promise to practice safe driving. The promise will act as an informal contract between the student and the student's parents. The promises will also be used in a drawing for prizes, including tickets to the Oct. 10th Little Trees 300 NASCAR Busch Series event at Lowe' s Motor Speedway.
Kenny will sign autographs at the NACS Convention (National Association of Convenience Stores) on Monday, October 13th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.
