IT'S TIME FOR SOME GOOD LUCK. "Yeah, we've been qualifying decent and running halfway decent, we've just been having a lot of accidents and a lot of problems. Hopefully, we can get a halfway decent starting spot for Saturday and finish it off."
HOW WAS YOUR LAP? "It was all right. We ran a good time in practice, but I knew the chassis was gonna be a little bit off. We were still off here. We had pretty good speed, but it was still off, so I didn't think we were gonna hold up for the pole, but I would think we'd be somewhere around the top 10 and that would be pretty good."
DAVID GILLILAND -- No. 38 M&M's Ford Fusion (Qualified 21st)
"We really worked on qualifying quite a bit, but we were just a little too tight in practice. It was still just a little bit too tight in qualifying, but this place gains so much grip and you get going so much faster that it's kind of hard to question as far as balance. We were just a little on the snug side, but today everybody has picked up five or six tenths from practice and that's a big change when you're driving the car. We're happy with our M&M's Komen Race for the Cure Ford Fusion. It drives very, very well. It's probably the best driving car that I've ever had here, so I'm excited about that and it gives me a lot of encouragement for Saturday night."
GREG BIFFLE -- No. 16 3M Ford Fusion (Qualified 10th)
"I'm happy with the car. I was a little nervous because on the last run before this I drove down into turn one and lost all of my confidence because it just went straight up the hill. I was real nervous about what it was gonna do, but she stuck really good. It was just a little bit too tight, but we fought that the whole day today. It's a pretty stable driving car. I think we've got a good car for the race."
JAMIE MCMURRAY -- No. 26 Crown Royal Ford Fusion (Qualified 6th)
"We had some problems early. We had an oil line or something drag under the car, so we had to replace that and missed a little bit of practice. This is the same car we've run in a few races this year. They went back and worked on the body and it's a lot better. We knew before we got here that it was gonna be better, but it's been a fast car all day today."
DOES THE DRAW MAKE A DIFFERENCE ON A DAY LIKE TODAY? "I don't think it makes much difference. Certainly, you don't want to be in the first five or six to go out because it just mentally kind of messes with you, but I don't think today with as cool as it is that your draw makes a huge difference. I know the 24 and some of those guys went out early and then a few of us at the end went fast, so there's not much difference."
RICKY RUDD -- No. 88 Snickers Ford Fusion (Qualified 33rd)
"In practice it was too tight and it's still too tight. I just couldn't get it to turn. We're just trying to work together. I've got a new crew chief and we're trying to get all of the communication worked out. We just needed some more practice laps. I think we've got a good car. It's just too tight."
HOW DO YOU FEEL AFTER A FULL DAY OF TURNING AND TWISTING? "Actually, I had forgotten all about it. I got out of the car and until you just said something and reminded me I hadn't thought about it. I guess that's a good thing. It's a little sore, but nothing terrible."
