SADLER POST TOP-20 AT LOWE'S MOTOR SPEEDWAY

CONCORD, N.C. (May 27, 2006) -- Handling problems during the Carquest Auto Parts 300 left Elliott Sadler fighting for a 19th-place finish at Lowe's Motor Speedway on Saturday night.

Starting in the 14th position, Sadler maneuvered his No. 90 CitiFinancial Ford Fusion into the top 10 by lap 20 before track changes affected the handling of Sadler's Ford. The No. 90's first green-flag pit stop would come on lap 64. A few laps before, Sadler radioed the crew and commented that the car was "very tight." Crew chief Jerry Pitts called for several chassis adjustments, four tires and fuel.

After the lengthy adjustments to help correct the tight condition, Sadler returned to the track in the 32nd position, one lap down. He would climb as high as the 13th position, but eventually the handling problem would return and Sadler fell outside of the top-15, finishing 19th.

"We just couldn't get the proper handling on the CitiFinancial Ford tonight," said Sadler. "By the end of the night I was so loose, it felt like I was riding around on balloons."

Carl Edwards scored his first NASCAR Busch Series victory of the season. Kurt Busch, J.J. Yeley, Casey Mears and Martin Truex Jr. complete the top-five.

The NASCAR Busch Series will return to action at Dover International Speedway on Saturday, June 3. Coverage of the StonebridgeRacing.com 200 will be broadcast live on FX and MRN.
