Goodyear Quote -- Mark Keto, Lead Engineer, Stock Car Tire Development: "Talladega and Daytona share the same construction set-up, but require different tread compounds for optimal performance. Daytona is more of a handling racetrack and requires a 'grippier' compound set-up than does Talladega. The compounds for Talladega are unchanged from 2003. This construction was tested last fall at Daytona and was introduced at this year's Daytona 500."
