MIAMI, Fla. (September 21, 2000) -- While the weather in Miami for the November 10-12 Pennzoil 400 weekend of NASCAR Winston Cup and Busch Series racing is expected to be sunny, fans will get a little cooler. Homestead-Miami Speedway announced today that it will allow fans to bring coolers to the weekend's events.

"We've really listened to our fans," said Speedway President Curtis Gray. "Bringing along a cooler is just one more amenity we're providing here in Miami to make our guests more comfortable for an exciting weekend of racing."

Guests may bring six-pack-sized coolers (no larger than 8 1/2 " wide by 12" long or 12" high), although glass containers will not be allowed. The Speedway's decision on coolers is a direct response to input from fans. Other fan conveniences recently initiated by the Speedway include on-line ticket sales, expanded free parking, and continuing efforts with regional officials to improve traffic flow.

The stars of the NASCAR Busch Grand National Series take the track at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Saturday, Nov. 11, at 1:30 p.m. for the Miami 300 Busch Series finale. On Sunday, Nov. 12, the big boys of NASCAR Winston Cup return to Miami in the Pennzoil 400 with the green flag scheduled for 12:30 p.m.

Good seats are still available. Purchase your tickets online at www.homesteadmiamispeedway.com, or call the ticket office at (305) 230-RACE.
