Notes: This is the third time that NASCAR Nextel Cup teams will run on this specific set-up of left- and right-side tires in 2006.

In addition to earlier running on these tire codes at Michigan, teams ran this set-up at Dover as well.

Cup teams also ran this left-side code (D-4060) with a different right-side at Chicagoland last month.

Both the Nextel Cup and Busch Series teams will run on the same tire codes this weekend.

As on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Michigan.

Air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.
