Sauter's crew chief suspended for four races: Joe Shear, Jr. was suspended for four races after an illegal carburetor was found post race in the No.1 Dodge. Shear violated Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment used that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the NASCAR Busch Series rule book due.
He was also placed on probation until December 31rst.

Kahne doesn't anticipate being back in No. 38 Busch car next year: Kasey Kahne said that the likelihood of him piloting the No. 38 Great Clips Dodge in the Busch series next year was pretty slim.
"I've really enjoyed racing with Atkins Motorsports," said Kahne. "I don't know if there will be any (Busch) races with them next year or not. I think Tyler Walker will probably run the whole season for them. Ray's (Evernham) got some good things going on on the Busch side, and I'd really like to run 15-20 races."
Berrier back as crew chief for No. 29 RCR Chevy: Todd Berrier has returned to crew chief duties on Kevin Harvick's No. 29 RCR Chevrolet this weekend after a four race suspension.
Berrier was suspended after Las Vegas for an unapproved fuel filler and unapproved fuel cell vent found after qualifying. He was also fined $25,000.
Glare concern at Phoenix: The night race at PIR brings the challenge of drivers driving into the sunset at the start of the event on Saturday. The race starts at 8:00 PM Eastern time, which is 5:00 PM MST in Arizona.
With sunset at roughly 7:05 PM on Sunday that presents glare issues for racers inside the race cars.
Burton emerging as favorite for win Saturday: Jeff Burton, a two-time winner at Phoenix, has emerged as one of the favorites to claim the win on Saturday.
