Notes: All three NASCAR series - Nextel Cup, Busch and Craftsman Truck -- will compete on the same tire codes this weekend at Dover . . . the Nextel Cup and Busch Series tires will carry Goodyear's Eagle brand, while the Truck Series will carry Goodyear's Wrangler brand . . . this will be the second consecutive race that teams in all three series will be racing on this particular combination on left- and right-side tires, having just run them during Speed Weeks at Charlotte . . . Cup and Busch teams also ran this combination earlier this season at California . . . other NASCAR tracks on which these codes will be run in 2004 are Chicagoland, Michigan, Kansas, Kentucky and Michigan . . . teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Dover . . . the air pressure in the inner liners must be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.
Goodyear Quote -- Mark Keto, Lead Engineer, Stock Car Tire Development: "We brought softer compounds to Dover in 2003 and had two very competitive races, so we decided to keep those virtually the same for 2004. Going along with what we've done with many of our tire set-ups this season, we have also softened the construction on both the left- and right-sides at Dover."
