RICKY RUDD-28-Havoline Taurus, finished third:
"We had a very good race car. This Havoline Taurus was an untested car, brand-new race car, came here for the first time. Not quite sure why we brought a brand-new race car to Bristol with the potential of losing one here, but they did and it was a great car. We didn't qualify so well, we had a couple of problems and they got it worked out in practice. I knew we had a very good race car yesterday afternoon in practice. It was all about patience today. We had a fast car, but we qualified 20th. It just took a long time to get back up to the front of the pack. All the guys on this Havoline Taurus team did a great job on pit strategy, on gauging when to have four new tires late in the race, and they did a good job at that."
DID YOU FEEL LIKE STERLING BLOCKED YOU AT THE END? "Well, he did for a few laps. I guess he was trying to get his lap back. He was a fast race car at the end. Maybe a couple of laps. I don't think it made a major difference in us. I would have preferred that he not be there, but he didn't hold me up terribly; he held me up maybe two or three laps. I felt like Jimmy was fading pretty hard. That two or three laps might've made a difference in us finishing second had I not had to race Sterling so hard. He raced us pretty hard, for sure."
