We ran in sixth position for about 350 laps which is not a bad thing. It's hard to get around the lapped cars on the restarts and make gains on the guys running in front of you because the cars are so similar here."

"A typical performance out there tonight for us. We got one really strong run out of the chassis, but then fought a tight condition the final 200 laps of the race. We pulled spring rubbers, took wedge out, but nothing helped the situation. We have to be able to adjust on these things to get the front end to turn better. Until we can do that, about a top-15 car is all we've got."


PAT TRYSON (Crew Chief, No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger) "We started off really loose and got behind. We got our Miller Lite Dodge tightened up and ended up getting too tight at the end. We got a hole in the nose late in the race which hurt us a bit, so we tried to adjust to that and just got a touch to loose in the end."


JUAN PABLO MONTOYA (No. 42 Juicy Fruit Slim Pack Dodge Charger) Finished 19th

"I thought we had a pretty good night. After such a bad qualifying run, we had to start so far back and that makes it hard to race here when you have to pass so many cars. Our Juicy Fruit guys did a great job all night in the pits which gave us good track position. To come out of Bristol with a top-20 finish after starting 42nd is a good feeling. I'm happy for our Chip Ganassi team. We'll take it and move on to California next weekend."


BOBBY LABONTE (No. 43 Cheerios/Box Tops for Education Dodge Charger) Finished 23rd

"It was a tough night. We had a really good car. I think we would have finished in the top-10 for sure if not for some weird mishaps. We may have had a top-five car with a shot to win. The motor shut off on the first pit stop which messed us up in the pits. The next thing you know, Elliott's seatbelts are undone and we had to pit under green which put us down a bunch of laps. You can't race with your seatbelts undone and it's tough for a driver to get all hooked back up with the belts with a helmet on. It was just a bad deal."


SAM HORNISH JR. (No. 77 Mobil 1 Dodge Charger) Finished 37th

"It looked to me like the 5 and 55 got together. Everybody is running so close after the restart that it just looks like there's nowhere for anybody to go once that all breaks loose. I just wish that the Mobil 1 Dodge had been able to make it to the end. It' just looked like everybody kind of got together. Everybody was pushing each other real hard, not a lot of room out there, and when everybody gets together and runs that tight, you get one car sideways and there's not a lot of room for everybody to go.

"The Mobil 1 Dodge didn't have quite as good of a handle on it as we wanted. We started to log some laps and make sure we made it to the end. I saw the 5 car go around and start sliding up the track, but then there was already somebody beside me. I got on the brakes and tired to get away from it as much as I could. I don't know, everything happens real quick here. It's been a lot of fun for me to be able to run at Bristol the last two nights and I feel like I've learned a lot, but we still have a lot more to learn. We'll get this Mobil 1 Dodge running a little better the next time we come back."


ROBBY GORDON (No. 7 Barrett-Jackson Auction Co. Dodge Charger) Finished 39th

"The 55 and the 5 got together in a group of about seven of us. I was sixth in line and was trying to slow down, but there was nothing that I could do. It's unfortunate because our car was really fast. We started off really tight, made an adjustment on the Sherman-Williams/Barrett-Jackson car and it was really good. We ran with the leaders for about 70 laps before the incident. Unfortunately, another good car with a bad finish. That's Bristol -- sometimes you get out of here with a perfect race car and sometimes you get wrecked."


KASEY KAHNE (No. 9 Budweiser Dodge Charger) Finished 40th

"I'm OK. We had a good racecar and it's a shame that we got caught up in that mess. The crash happened so fast. I just saw cars wrecking everywhere in front of me and there was nothing that I could do. I saw the 5 and 55 and the next thing that I know I got hit from behind and tore up our Budweiser Dodge up pretty good. It's disappointing because we're going to take a hit in the Chase points, but that's the risk you run here at Bristol. I love racing here at Bristol -- it's a great place with great fans. It's just a bad deal for us tonight."
