Bowyer to make rare CWTS appearance as a replacement for an injured Townley

John Wes Townley is being forced to sit out the Truck race and Clint Bowyer has been selected to take his place.

Michael Waltrip Racing's Clint Bowyer is making a rare appearance in NASCAR's Camping World Truck Series this weekend in a deal put together last night. He will be piloting the No. 5 Zaxby's Toyota Tundra.

He qualified tenth for today's race. Usual driver John Wes Townley was airlifted to a local hospital after a crash during qualifying for the ARCA race Friday. He is being forced to sit out all track activites for the rest of the weekend and must see a neurologist later this week.

Clint Bowyer has made just 12 starts at the Truck level, winning three times. His last start came in September of 2011, finishing second for the now defunct Kevin Harvick Inc. team.
