Despite Alex Bowman's option apparently being picked up last summer, Tommy Baldwin Racing has announced a split.
Bowman piloted the No. 7 Chevy for TBR last season. The 22-year-old Tuscon native finished 33rd in the standings after failing to qualify for the Daytona 500.
Bowman’s best result was 16th at Talladega in the spring. Bowman ran the full Xfinity Series season with Robby Benton in 2013 prior to making his Sprint Cup debut with BK Racing in 2014.
“As NASCAR transitions to different business and competition models, teams have to make decisions accordingly,” Baldwin said.
“We appreciate what Alex contributed during 2015 and wish him the best in the future.”
