Robert Richardson Jr. will make his NASCAR Sprint Cup return with BK Racing.
BK Racing will field a fourth entry in the Daytona 500 with Richardson, 33, behind the wheel. Richardson has eight previous Sprint Cup starts with three Daytona 500 attempts to his credit, making the big show in both 2010 and 2011.
His career-best finish came at Talladega in 2009 when he placed 18th. He hasn't started a Cup event since 2012, but Richardson does have 129 Xfinity Series races under his belt with his most recent coming in November of 2014.
The eco-driven longboard company called 'Stalk It' will back the new entry, a longtime partner of Richardson.
"I feel very blessed with the opportunity to be back in the driver's seat for Daytona," said Richardson Jr. "I can't thank Lane and Stalk It enough for coming on board. I'm looking forward to working with Mike (Ford) and the entire BK organization."
His three teammates for the 500 include veteran Michael Waltrip, team newcomer David Ragan and Matt DiBenedetto, who will be starting his second fulltime season in the NSCS.
