The Big One at Talladega

TALLADEGA, ALA. — Trevor Bayne went for a wild ride working Lap 46 at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday — and 15 cars with him.

Bayne was three-wide going down the backstretch when the No. 41 Chevy of Kurt Busch took the air off of the left side of his car, causing the driver of the No. 6 Ford to loose control.

“I’m fine,” Bayne said. “My feelings are hurt. We had a fast race car.”

Danica Patrick, David Ragan, Greg Biffle, Kasey Kahne, Ricky Stenhouse Jr, Ryan Newman, Kyle Larson Joey Logano, Aric Almirola and point leader Kevin Harvick were some of the drivers collected in the incident. Others involved included Alex Bowman, Justin Allgaier, Jose Wise, and Matt DiBenedetto.

The Geico 500 was red-flagged on Lap 47 for 11minutes and 32 seconds.

Bayne, Ragan and Larson were seen and released from the infield care center.
