NASCAR fans know that the team crews are as important to a winning driver as the car itself, but most NASCAR fans don't even think about the fact that all the members of the crew need to be fed regularly. The team cooks for the majority of the racing teams is a crew member with other responsibilities who either enjoys cooking for everyone, or who has been labeled as such a good cook that they were nominated to be the team cook.
Coleman Grills is honoring these dedicated, behind the scenes individuals that often go unrecognized. The Coleman NASCAR Team Grilling Challenge is a grilling competition that will determine NASCAR's top grillmaster. The lighthearted contest will give team cooks a chance to show off their grilling expertise and possibly earn $5,000 and have $5,000 donated on their behalf to the Winston Cup Racing Wives Auxiliary.

The Coleman NASCAR Team Grilling Challenge is a lighthearted grilling competition that gives Winston Cup team cooks the chance to show off their passion for grilling and prepare their favorite barbecue recipes for a panel of judges. Lowe's Motor Speedway on May 24 to identify the five finalists to compete in the Coleman NASCAR Team Grilling Challenge.
"Coleman, the "Cookin' Machine of NASCAR," recognizes that tailgating and grilling help bring together race fans, grilling enthusiasts and families to capture the true spirit of the NASCAR experience," said Jay Schafer, director of Sunbeam's Outdoor Cooking Business Division. "The competition is a fun way to kick off Memorial weekend, the biggest grilling weekend of the year."
The five team finalists will battle on May 25, preparing their favorite grilling recipes on the new line of Coleman grills for a panel of judges led by Benny Parsons, representatives from the Winston Cup Racing Wives Auxiliary and grilling expert George Hirsch. Hirsch is one of the nation's foremost grilling experts and author of Grilling with Chef George Hirsch and George Hirsch's Recipes for Healthy and Active Living.
