CAT Team looking forward to Atlanta.
"The CAT team is making some great progress. We ran well last weekend
and were able to finish the race, something we haven't been able to do.
We contended for the win, led the most laps and all around had a good
day. Now I'm hoping we can do that again this weekend."
-Ward Burton, driver of the Caterpillar Racing Dodge
BURTON ON ATLANTA: "The fall race has been pretty good to the CAT team. We contended for the win here the past two years and have had real solid runs. It's a track that really suits my driving style and I'm really looking forward to returning to Atlanta. I was there earlier this week for a winner's circle appearance and it got all of us a little excited about the race this weekend. Last weekend we showed that the CAT team could run well the entire race and compete for the win. It felt good to be competitive for the entire race."
STODDARD ON THIS WEEKEND'S RACE: "Certainly I am looking forward to getting to Atlanta. I looked at Ward's statistics the past couple years and it looks like he has always run well there. I'm hoping we can have a decent run, lead some laps and keep him up front all day. I think if we can be up front at the end we can have a shot at the win. We'll see, it should be a great weekend for the CAT team.
CAT EQUIPMENT: Ward Burton and the Caterpillar Racing team tested this car during their test session at Lowe's Motor Speedway (LMS) last month. It acted as the backup car at LMS. The team couldn't return with the car they ran at LMS, since it was destroyed in a late-race accident.
