KEVIN HARVICK, NO. 29 SHELL PENNZOIL IMPALA SS -- Finished 2nd
THE LAST THING YOU NEEDED WAS THAT CAUTION BECAUSE YOU WERE SO GOOD LATER IN THE RUN "Yeah, I knew we were in trouble when that caution came out. But I just want to thank all my Shell-Pennzoil guys. They did a great job tonight. The circumstances didn't play in our favor there at the end, but we led a bunch of laps and with the year that we've had this is a great night for us. We were just a little bit short."
WHAT DID THIS RUN DO FOR YOU? "This is big for everyone on our Shell-Pennzoil Chevrolet. Just a good night for us. We had a great car on the long runs. Congratulations to Kasey (Kahne). They were a lot better on the short runs. It just came down to the short run tonight."
JUAN PABLO MONTOYA, NO. 42 TARGET CHEVROLET, FINISHED 3rd
HOW MUCH FUN WAS THAT RACE BATTLING WITH THE NO. 29? "It was awesome. I thought I was going to get him with two to go. I got freaking sideways down in (turn) three. Everybody on the Target Chevy did an amazing job today. I really want to thank everybody at Earnhardt-Ganassi and ECR with the motors. Just everybody is working so hard to make this happen. You know this third place makes it a little bit closer to the Chase."
MARK MARTIN, NO. 5 KELLOGG'S/CARQUEST IMPALA SS -- Finished 5th
ON HIS TOP FIVE FINISH "It was a great effort by the team. They did a great job. The car was fair. It was a real struggle and we worked on it. We got it better for the second half of the race and it was a top-five car; not a winner. But we fought for everything that we got right there."
JIMMIE JOHNSON, NO. 48 LOWES / KOBALT TOOLS IMPALA SS -- Finished 36th
The Kobalt Tools Impala started out good but then I started to get real loose. We had trouble with the rear of the car. We broke the locker and we had to come to the garage to fix it. It was just an unfortunate night for us.
JEFF GORDON, NO. 24 DUPONT IMPALA SS, FINISHED 8TH:
"It was really crazy. There were a lot of things going on. I can't even keep up with all the different things that happened. There were times I thought we had the car to beat then I thought we were going to go a lap down. We were trying to keep up with the changing conditions whether it was track, tires or whatever it was. Man, we were all over the place and never could seem to find any consistency. It was a good fight, a good top-10 and it was good to lead some laps."
