CARL EDWARDS -- No. 99 Office Depot Ford Fusion (Qualified 16th)

"That's the best lap we ran all day, so that's all we could do. Going out first, I guess we made two runs in qualifying trim in practice and we just parked it and said, 'We'll just go out there and get a lap.' We race really well here. I'm very excited about the race on Sunday, so, hopefully, that will be top 15 or top 20, but Sunday is what pays. That's what we'll work hard on."

HOW HARD HAS THIS WEEK BEEN? YOU MUST BE HAPPY TO GET BACK IN THE CAR. "It's great to get in the race car. It's been a heck of a week. It's nobody's fault but my own, but I definitely appreciate the support from my family and my sponsors and all my friends -- that's been cool, but it's gonna be a fun weekend."

RICKY RUDD -- No. 88 Snickers Ford Fusion (Qualified 44th)

"There's not a whole lot to say. It's a brand new race car that they just built. I have to give the guys a lot of credit. They knew what we had at Charlotte was about a 15th-place car and it wouldn't have gotten the job done here, so they built a new one. I'm real proud of the fact they did that, but it hasn't been to the wind tunnel and is untested. It's a different car and it has a different feel to it and we've just been too tight since we've been here. They keep freeing it up and it keeps getting better and better. Believe it or not, we ran just about a second faster than we actually practiced, but they're just getting it freed up. I think in race trim we just need to get some laps and figure out what makes this car tick. We missed it qualifying, but we'll see what we've got for the race."

MATT KENSETH -- No. 17 DeWalt Ford Fusion (Qualified 17th)

YOU FINALLY HAD SOME GOOD LUCK AT MARTINSVILLE. "I feel like that's my worse track and I think that's the second-best finish we've ever had there, so it's good to get a top five again and get a good run in and have a pretty solid day. But, really, Robbie and the guys did that way more than me. They had the right pit strategy and got me track position at the end when we needed it, but Atlanta is one of my favorite tracks. We had some problems this morning (broken piston) and still got a pretty decent qualifying lap out of it, so I'm looking forward to Sunday."

WHAT'S IT LIKE BEING A STAR ON YOU TUBE? "It was alright (laughter). I kind of feel bad about the whole thing, but I don't think there's really much I could have done different. I kind of feel bad for Carl in a way, so it'll all work itself out. It will all be fine. Like I said, I was just happy to get a good finish and I'm looking forward to the DeWalt Nano Technology car this weekend."

GREG BIFFLE -- No. 16 Lumber Liquidators Ford Fusion (Qualified 1st)

"Greg Erwin and all these guys who work on this Ford Fusion Lumber Liquidators car are doing a great job. They're just giving me good cars to drive and that's all a guy can ask for is something this good to drive. I normally don't ask for them this good, I just want a good race car, but this thing is excellent. We're just really happy to be here in Atlanta with this race car and running as fast as we are, so we'll just wait and see what this weekend brings. We were pretty good in race trim and we'll see tomorrow morning and in the later session with how we end up in that and be ready to go for Sunday."

WHAT DID YOU FIGURE OUT AS FAR AS PICKING UP SPEED? "I wish they would have been picking up a little bit. I don't want to say I would have tried harder, but I think I left a little bit on the table coming to the green, which wasn't the timed lap, but your mile per hour crossing the stripe and getting into one makes a difference. My car has been real tight and then loose coming off that corner over there because the tires don't have heat in them yet, and I figured with it being cool tonight it would emphasize my problem, so I said I was gonna slow up getting in, make sure I'm right on the bottom, but the car stuck so nice. I don't even know if I had to lift. A lot of times you don't because you just pulled out of the pits and you're not to full speed yet, but maybe half a tenth or something like that, but the track has a lot of grip right now."

DAVID GILLILAND -- No. 38 M&M's Ford Fusion (Qualified 13th)

"We're real happy. This is the same car we had at Charlotte and our M&M's Ford Fusion ran very well there. It always gives you a little bit of confidence when you can bring a car you've had a little bit of success with back to the race track. I was just telling Todd, this is only my second time ever qualifying here and it's a different place when it gets dark. We're real proud of the guys. It was a great lap for us. We had a little trouble down in one and two, we were a little loose, but besides that it was a pretty good lap for us. And to pick up when a lot of people aren't really picking up much, we definitely picked up from practice, so I'm real happy. I'm real proud for the guys."
