COULD YOU HAVE GOTTEN TO THE FRONT IF IT HADN'T RAINED?
"Oh, sure we would have (laughing). Who knows? We had a good run, we had a good race car all day. Before we went back green after the first rain delay, we came in to get fuel thinking of going to halfway. That's what we were after there. My car was a little bit too loose to come back up through like I wanted to, so we found ourselves back pretty far for a lot of the first half of the race, but we made great pit stops and we got the car adjusted and were able to work our way. Cautions worked to our advantage. Again, we did good pit work and got ourselves back to the front. I don't know if I could have done anything with those guys up in the front, but it would have been fun to see. The hard thing is that these fans sat here all day and then didn't get to see a complete race, but there's nothing we can do about the weather. It was a good day for us."
DO YOU FEEL NASCAR PUSHED THE LIMITS ON RACING IN THE RAIN?
"I thought NASCAR did a great job of whenever anybody spoke up or whenever it looked like it was gonna get too hard, they immediately threw the caution. A couple of times we were getting ready to go back to green and I know I said some things and I think a few other guys said something and they held off until we were all satisfied that the track was ready and we weren't gonna take off and drive down into the first corner or turn three and it was gonna be pouring down rain. I think they did a great job. They are really to be commended. We bad mouth 'em enough, we ought to commend whenever they do a good job, I think."
