DeWalt Team poised to contend for the win

CONCORD, N.C. (November 12, 2013) - Marcos Ambrose and the No. 9 DEWALT Ford team have one more opportunity to score a win in 2013 this weekend at the Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway. Ambrose has five Cup starts at the South Florida track with a best finish of 13th which he tallied last season. He also has two Nationwide starts at the track and brought home a 10th-place finish in 2007. Crew Chief Drew Blickensderfer has four Sprint Cup starts and three Nationwide starts at the mile-and-a-half track. He visited Victory Lane in the 2008 Nationwide race with Carl Edwards. He scored his best finish of 13th last season with Ambrose and in 2009 with Matt Kenseth.

Comments from DEWALT Ford Fusion Driver Marcos Ambrose:

"We've had success at Homestead in the past. Last year, we qualified on the front row and finished 13th. We want to finish the season on a high note. It's been a tough season for us, and I really want to get my first oval win, so we're going to push hard this weekend. We want to have a good result.

"This off-season, we're going to be busy. We'll be looking to test at Charlotte and learn more about the new rules package for next year. We feel that will help us, but we need to be on top of it. We need to stay focused and work hard. It's a short break between Homestead and Daytona, and we want to have the best STANLEY Ford Fusions come the start of the season."

Comments from Crew Chief Drew Blickensderfer on Homestead:

"Ford always seems to run well at Homestead, and I don't that will change this weekend. It's tough when you only go to a track once a year, but with the success this team has there, we go in excited knowing we should be able to contend for a good finish. I've been to Victory Lane at Homestead and would love to go back and close out our season celebrating a win."
