TELL US ABOUT HOW IT WENT BETWEEN TURNS 3 AND 4 "Oh, you know, it's amazing how the whole team is doing. It was hairy (laughs). You know I went in good and I got committed and then I thought, nah, I'm not that committed and I had to lift a little bit in the middle. But it still was a great lap."

JEFF BURTON, NO. 31 CATERPILLAR CHEVROLET:

"I said earlier today that my strategy coming into the Sprint Showdown is to qualify well and to have a fast car. Our efforts obviously showed with tonight's qualifying run. The Cat Racing team worked really hard in practice to find a good set up even though we fought a tight-handling car throughout the session. Our goal is to go out and win tomorrow night and starting up front will certainly help."

CLINT BOWYER, NO. 31 BB&T CHEVROLET:

HOW FAR ON THE EDGE WERE YOU IN THAT QUALIFYING RUN? "Oh, very, very close out there (laughs). It's important to qualify good. It's an important race. We haven't won a race and if we can win this, it'll be our first win together and get ourselves in the All-Star race. It's an important night for NASCAR and it's important for us to be in it. So a good qualifying run goes a long way toward a good run in the Shootout. There are some good cars like (Greg) Biffle and (Juan Pablo) Montoya, my teammate (Jeff Burton) and a lot of good cars. But so far, so good with the BB&T Chevrolet. I don't know if that'll hold up."
