Ragan on racing in the Sprint Showdown:
"The Showdown pays no points, so with nothing to lose and everything to gain we're going to give it our all and go for it. Charlotte has been a good track to us in the past and it's great to be home for a few weeks. The track surface is really coming in since they paved it and the Showdown will be good practice for the Coke 600. Hopefully we'll race our way into the All-Star Challenge, but either way we'll take the track time and make it work to our advantage."
Crew chief Donnie Wingo on racing in the Sprint Showdown:
"We're excited and looking forward to running the Showdown this weekend. You would think that just being in the Showdown and no points on the line that there wouldn't be as much pressure, but there's as much as any race, because the whole weekend is about getting into the main race. But, it's good practice for the Coke 600 and we'll try some different setups and get a good direction for next weekend."
* In three Showdown attempts Ragan's best finish came in 2008 where he started third and finished third, just missing advancing to the All-Star Race.
* UPS Maximum Center Recognition--Charlotte Motor Speedway The Arrowood Center (SLIC - 2821) in the South Atlantic District's Charlotte Division has been chosen as the Maximum Center for the May 22, 2010 race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
