All on-track activity canceled at Dover, Kenseth on pole

Due to inclement weather, all on-track activity has been canceled at Dover today.

NASCAR Sprint Cup qualifying and and a 70-minute practice session were planned today, along with a K&N East race. The race has been rescheduled for 9:30am Saturday.

Due to the rainout, the starting lineup will be set by owner's points, putting all 16 Chasers in the first eight rows on the grid. Matt Kenseth will lead the field to the green flag with Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin starting alongside.

Only 43 cars were entered this weekend so there will be no DNQs.

The remainder of the top ten will be filled by Carl Edwards, Joey Logano, Jimmie Johnson, Ryan Newman, Kurt Busch, Brad Keselowski, Martin Truex Jr., and Jeff Gordon.

Weather will also be a factor tomorrow, meaning there's a real possibility that there may not be any on-track time for teams to prepare their cars prior to race day.
